Responsibilities


This 9-member advisory board is responsible for organizing and maintaining a community effort to revitalize Cedar Hill's historic downtown. The board should be representative of the community and should serve as an advocate for downtown revitalization.


Historic Downtown Board Charge

  • Guide and recommend revitalization initiatives that preserve the district's historic fabric and protect the city's distinctive character
  • Serve as advocates of economic development in the historic downtown area
  • Work actively with City of Cedar Hill partners, City Council, Economic Development and other boards
  • Participate in the recruitment, recommendation and development of volunteers to assist activities to benefit and promote historic downtown

Mission Statement


The Historic Downtown Advisory Board mission is to maintain the historic heritage of the City of Cedar Hill by working actively with City of Cedar Hill partners, City Council, Economic Development and other boards by serving as an advocate for downtown revitalization.
