Rain Barrel Workshops

Rain Barrel Workshop Registration

In partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Water University, the Zula B. Wylie Public Library and Environmental Services, the City of Cedar Hill is offering rain barrel workshops where you build and take home a working rain barrel. Learn the importance of water conservation and how to reduce your water consumption.

Space is limited. Registration is required. The class is open to all residents and non-residents. Rain barrels are 55 gallons, food grade and BPA-free. Workshops will be held at the Zula B. Wylie Public Library (225 Cedar St.) from 9 am to 11 am. Please have a vehicle to bring your rain barrel home after the workshop. The barrel typically fits in the back seat of a sedan. Bring towels or blankets to protect your vehicle interior from damage. The City of Cedar Hill and Texas A&M AgriLife Water University are not responsible for any damages to your vehicle.

Registration is $50 per rain barrel which covers the cost of supplies including the 55 gallon barrel, faucet, screen, caulk and gasket. Cash and credit card payment may be provided upon entry. All payments are handled by Texas A&M AgriLife Water University.
